Wellington Moot News

From Jane Kayley, moot organiser.

Hello Everyone,

Tomorrow night is our next Wellington moot night and we hope to see many of you there despite the upsetting  and tragic news that Richard Bloodworth has died.

Richard was a personal friend and the news of his tragic death has been a great shock to everyone.  Richard was well known to many of the moot members, and a regular at the Exmoor pagan camps. It's hard to believe that someone so vibrant, youthful and helpful is no longer with us. Our thoughts go out to Addy, their sons, Alfie and Sidney, and all of their extended family members and friends.

Tuesday 8th November – Barn Owl and Memorium

Tonight's moot has been replanned to incorporate an opportunity for moot members to remember Richard and light a candle for his passing. Richard was passionate about birds of prey and was due to lead our talk with his barn Barn Owl, Pete, at this months moot.  Although we will no longer be having a talk about Barn owls, John has offered to still bring Rowan along, for photos and questions, in tribute to the work Richard did with these amazing birds.

Tuesday 13th December – Yule Party, Gig and Raffle (Ticket Only)

December's moot will be a real treat, with two performances, a Yule raffle and a party atmosphere. The evening will conclude with a set by the wonderful Chris Millington. Chris is a talented singer, songwriter, who combines the traditional with the contemporary, singing songs of the sea, the past and the heart. We are also pleased to welcome a wonderful local duo James and Alice. Their traditional songs are enchanting, very atmospheric and bound to inspire.

As usual we will be holding the annual Stampede raffle. Like previous years we are asking everyone who attends to please bring a “wrapped” small raffle prize, and some party snacks to share. N.B. The Yule meeting is ticket only
